Dr. Melissa Rouquette was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science in 2000 then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2004. While attending veterinary school, she met and married one of her classmates, Toby Rouquette, in January of 2004. After graduation, they both moved to Mansfield, Texas so Melissa could pursue a job at a 24 hour emergency/critical care facility where she practiced primary care and emergency/critical care medicine and surgery for the next six years. Melissa and Toby have a home outside of Cleburne, Texas where they raise registered and commercial Angus cattle. Melissa and Toby have a son named Cullen and share their home with a Border Collie; Aiden, and two Heeler mixes; Mia and Hannah. Her professional interests include emergency/critical care medicine, soft tissue surgery, endoscopy, and feline medicine.
