Dr. Sarah Pauels was raised in Rumson, NJ. She attended Auburn University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2008. In 2011, she was accepted at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015. War Eagle!
After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, a specialty/referral hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ. Since then, she has worked as a small animal ER practitioner in the southeastern US. In 2017, Dr. Pauels joined the team at Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield. Her veterinary interests include trauma, soft tissue surgery, and shelter medicine.
Dr. Pauels currently lives in Midlothian, Texas. When not working, she enjoys rodeo and SEC football. She has two Pit Bulls, Faith and Hank, and a Cockapoo named Ty. She also has two barrel horses, Athena and Chief, and one retired show jumper named Homey.
